We are based in Aurora, Ontario, Canada and employ approximately 83,000 people in 238 production and 60 engineering and R&D centres in 23 countries on 5 continents as of March 2008.

We value our employees as both partners and facilitators in our success. Through the Employee Equity and Profit Participation Program, employees are part owners in the company and share in the profits they help produce. We offer job counseling and training and have developed a number of core programs that enhance employee skills and provide greater opportunities for advancement. Our goal is to develop employees and promote from within.

Guided by the key principles outlined in the Magna Employee's Charter and the Corporate Constitution, our success over the last three decades is largely attributed to our employees working together towards a common set of goals, which are:

The Employee's Charter is based on fairness and concern for people and promotes positive employee relations through a number of initiatives including:

  • A regular wage and benefits review process to ensure our total compensation is fair and competitive;
  • A Disaster Relief Fund to provide needed financial assistance to employees and their family members in the event that they become victims of a disaster; and
  • Confidential Employee Assistance Programs.
