News Release - Magna Receives Supplier Award from PSA Peugeot-Citroën

AURORA, Ontario, July 2, 2014 – Magna International Inc. announced today that it has received a PSA Peugeot-Citroën Supplier Award in the category of Program Management.  The award distinguished Magna for quality of deliverables, on-time delivery, managing cost variances, project management, successful launches and technical expertise.  It was presented at the PSA Peugeot-Citroën 10th Supplier Awards ceremony held in Paris, France.  On this occasion, best suppliers with outstanding performance in 2013 were awarded.

The award was given for the development and industrialization of the sliding folding roof for the new Peugeot 108 and Citroën C1.  The program was developed at our Magna Car Top Systems (MCTS) Engineering Centre in Bietigheim, Germany, with local support from the Magna office in Paris, and is manufactured at our MCTS plant in Tychy, Poland.

Magna successfully managed the complex program by demonstrating a deep understanding of PSA Peugeot-Citroën’s expectations through a proactive approach.

“This award highlights our expertise in project execution by delivering a high-quality, innovative product while working closely with our customer,” said Uwe Geissinger, Vice President of Magna Roof Systems Division.  “The project demonstrated great teamwork and an overall commitment to the program and customer.”

Awarded suppliers were selected among the 2,200 supplier plants currently delivering to PSA in Europe, as the best plants for Industrial Excellence. They represent the top 5% of PSA’s supply base.
