News Release - Magna Receives Ford World Excellence Award

AURORA, Ontario, June 18, 2015 – It pays to be smart, and that is exactly what Magna International has been recognized for by Ford Motor Company. Magna received a Ford World Excellence Award in the Smart category. The award recognized Magna’s leadership and excellence in innovation and its commitment to delivering high-performance products that exceed Ford’s expectations, which aligns with Ford’s Smart brand pillar.

The Ford World Excellence Awards honor Ford’s top global supplier partners. The awards were given in ten categories that highlight the suppliers’ excellence in key areas including quality, cost, performance and delivery.

Two recent examples of Magna’s smart innovations can be found on the all-new Ford F-150 pickup truck. These include PureViewTM seamless sliding window, a first-to-market product that also won the Automotive News PACE Award, and SurroundVueTM, a 360-degree camera system that is available for the first time on a pickup truck.
