Possible solutions out of Magna's broad powertrain portfolio are 7DCT300 plus eDrive System (P4), DHD Duo, and DHD Duo plus eDrive System (P4). The P4 architecture positions the eDrive System at the rear axle, enhancing traction, safety and the efficiency.

48 Volt Mild Hybrid Products

Magna’s mild hybrid transmissions maximize CO2 savings, while being more cost-effective than high-voltage hybrid drives even on vehicle level. Our products set a benchmark for power density as well as efficiency, providing interchangeable flexibility with conventional vehicle platforms. In addition, the Magna 48-volt solution is the first in the market to enable all-electric driving for low vehicle speeds and maneuvering and parking in a series application. 

  • Our mild hybrid transmissions feature a torque-split architecture with an integrated e-motor, offering convenient electric driving capability and up to 19% fuel efficiency improvement compared to DCTs. 
  • These transmissions provide reliability, safety, and high performance with the reuse of mature technologies, ASIL C compliance, up to 400 Nm ICE torque capacity, and a class-leading torque-to-weight ratio. They also ensure high commonality with all DCT-based Magna transmissions.

HEV Products

Leveraging extensive experience with hybridized dual-clutch transmissions Magna offers products tailored to any market and segment need with our hybridized dual-clutch transmissions (Eco family) for all HEVs.  

  • The Eco family simplifies hybrid concepts by incorporating a powerful e-motor. Shifting the vehicle's dynamic operation towards the e-motor minimizes the need for several gears, resulting in a more cost-effective hybrid transmission solution. Available as transverse application and in a parallel architecture for B to E segments and SUVs.

  • Magna’s 48V scalable Eco transmission family offers flexible electrification levels within one platform: DCT, 48V HEV, and HV HEV/PHEV at best torque-to-weight ratios and minimized packaging needs. 

In addition to the Eco family Magna offers the new developed two e-motor transmission DHD Duo as a product for use in HEV A to E segment vehicles and SUVs.
